A new team member for Tasman Motorsport and the Richards family
August 6th 2007 23:25
Days of impatience and nervous anticipation finally ended for Jason Richards, Tasman Motorsport’s car #3 driver, yesterday when he and wife Charlotte gave birth to a bouncing baby girl.
This newest member of the Tasman Motorsport team was born on Monday 6th August 2007 just in time for the evening news at six o’clock.
And, for anyone out there who entered Jason’s baby name competition on his Blog … the proud parents named their daughter Sienna Jane Richards.
Congrats to Jason and Charlotte and all the best with their new bundle of joy.
There must have been a lull in the V8 Supercar calendar around nine months ago with not just one baby being born in the last few days, but two.
SuperCheap Auto driver Cameron McConville and wife Cass have also celebrated the birth of a new daughter.
Alicia Lynette, a healthy 7 lb 2 oz baby girl, entered the world on Saturday morning, 4th August 2007 in Melbourne, a few days early.
V8 Supercar Pitstop also extends congratulations and best wishes to the McConvilles and their new addition.
Speaking at the Tasman Motorsport open day at the weekend, Jason Richards joked that he was frustrated at the fact that McConville’s baby had been born first and that Cameron had beat him.
“That’s the first time he’s done that this season,” a team mate shouted out, making the crowd and Jason laugh. I wished him all the best with the impending birth … after all, he and Greg Murphy had admired my littlest daughter!!!
