There must be something in the air (or maybe in the water). First Tasman Motorsport announce a significant change to their management structure, now Ford Performance Racing are following suit as they announce a new team organisational structure. Not just one person but inclusive of all areas of operation, including engineering, manufacturing and marketing.

Ford Performance Racing (FPR) full-time drivers are Stephen Richards, son of Jim Richards, former V8 Supercar legend; and Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom.

Managing Director, Tim Edwards continues to lead the team with Simon Derrick promoted to the role of General Manager - Commercial & Marketing after the departure of former FPR Commercial Director Rod Barrett to Prodive / Ford Australia joint venture company, Ford Performance Vehicles.

Chief Engineer, Phil Keed remains as boss of the team's engineering operations and Race Engineer for Steve Richards. Clinton Wilson continues as Senior Race Engineer / Designer and as Mark Winterbottom's Race Engineer.

Chris O'Toole has been promoted to the role of Team Manager in with Brad Collins promoted to the role of Engine Department Manager. A new addition to the team, Kylie Evans, has joined FPR's Engine Department as Engine Engineer.

Managing Director, Tim Edwards, is satisfied with the changes, seeing them as beneficial to the team both now and in the future; on and off the track.

Yes, I'd like two new tyres, thankyou.

"This announcement is an excellent opportunity for us to recognise the contribution that these members have made to the team,” Edwards stated. “I'm sure that this new structure will complement the efforts of all our team members and keep us moving ahead, to ensure that we are able to achieve our on-track and off-track objectives.”
